ABOUT THE SMOKIN' BANDITS

Since forming as a string band in the Spring of 2003, the Smokin' Bandits have since developed a new, electrified form of "Grass n' Roll," constantly exploring the realms of the musical universe while continuing to revert back to their bluegrass, blues, and rock n'  roll roots.  The band has been a part of sold out shows across the Midwest and beyond for the last two years, including key time slots at many of the biggest Midwest festivals like the 10,000 Lakes Festival, Hookahville in Pataskala OH, Harvest Fest, Log  Jam, Feel Good Festival, Riverfest and Oktoberfest in La Crosse WI, plus a trip to Alaska for a three night run at Rumrunner's in Anchorage in May of 2006.  The band has been on three lengthy tours through the Rocky Mountains and Midwest, and with over 150 shows under their belt over the last year and half have kept themselves busy on the touring circuit.

The Bandits have shared the stage with the likes of Little Feat, Jazz Mandolin Project, Tony Furtado, The Big Wu, The Hackensaw Boys, Donna The Buffalo, Particle, Vince Herman and the Great American Taxi, Ekoostik Hookah, and many more!!  They've released one full-length album, "Walkin' Thru" (2005) and are currently in the studio recording their second due out late Spring.  The Spring and Summer of 2007 promise to bring the Smokin' Bandits again all over the Midwest region of the country, with shows from North Dakota to Kansas including a confirmation at Dogstock 2007 in Melvern, KS in July where they'll be sharing the bill with New Riders of the Purple Sage, Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band, Bernie Worell, Great American Taxi, Shanti Groove feat. Bill McKay of Leftover Salmon, and many more to be annonced!

Music is a very unique aspect of life, we're happy to share ours with all of you...
